COdo is a terminal-native AI coding assistant built as a fork of OpenCode. It runs entirely in the command line (TUI) and helps developers write code, debug issues, and manage projects through natural language conversations with AI. COdo extends OpenCode with enhanced workflow management, better skill organization, and improved UX for development workflow switching.
COdo is terminal-native — no IDE required. More importantly, it brings structured workflow orchestration that tools like Copilot lack: GSD's persistent planning state, Speckit's spec-first discipline, Gstack's multi-persona review system, and Compose's multi-agent parallelism. COdo doesn't just suggest code — it manages an entire project lifecycle from specification to merge.
COdo inherits OpenCode's multi-provider architecture and supports Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, and other providers via compatible APIs. You can configure which provider and model to use globally or per-workflow. Run models locally or via API — COdo doesn't lock you in.
Yes. COdo is fully open source and free to use. The source code is available on GitHub and the package is published to npm. You only pay for the AI API calls to your chosen provider.
COdo is a fork of OpenCode (by anomalyco). It maintains full compatibility with the OpenCode ecosystem — all OpenCode skills and configurations work in COdo. COdo adds workflow orchestration (/workflow, /goal, compose, /scraper), improved skill organization, and community-driven enhancements on top of the solid OpenCode foundation.
Installation is a single npm command:

npm install -g @codo-ai/cli
